SUBMIT YOUR CLUB'S APPLICATION
CESR is now accepting applications to fund one-year, high-impact sustainability projects in McCormick and the community. All Northwestern student groups are eligible to apply, with up to $5000 in funding available.
Prospective projects should aim to creatively address at least one of the following goals:
- advance sustainability practices within McCormick
- provide outreach opportunities around sustainability from McCormick to the community
- organize events, enrichment, and sustainability education for McCormick student
Applications will be accepted through October 23rd, 2023. Projects must conform to university policy regarding allowable spending, advertisement, and all other applicable areas. Accepted projects will be required to submit a progress report to CESR's director by October 31st 2024, and consent to be featured on CESR's website and marketing materials.
What You'll Need to Apply
- A one-page summary of your project proposal, including the proposed audience, timeline, and impact
- A budget summary
- A point of contact for the proposal and accepted project. This can be your club's president or another designated student, with a succession plan in place should the project extend beyond the expected graduation of the original project contact.
Global Engineering Trek Chile: Energy Storage & Critical Minerals
CESR launched its inaugural Global Engineering Trek in Energy Storage & Critical Minerals on September 7th, 2023, sending a group of 9 students to Chile. As one of the world's largest lithium and copper producers, Chile is at the heart of global efforts to build green energy generation and storage systems. Follow along as our students meet with mining and policy experts, tour facilities, and delve into Chilean culture. Be sure to apply next year!
