Building Towards a Circular Bioeconomy

On April 5th, Jennifer Dunn moderated a panel discussing the results and lessons of UIDP conference ”Innovation in the Bioeconomy- A World Without Waste”.  Alongside Ken Barrett of Arzeda and Mike McMahon of Northwestern’s Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern, Dunn discussed key findings from the conference report, and how they intersect with her own work in the circularity of plastics.  Among other insights, Dunn noted the necessity of cross-disciplinary work, hybrid approaches, and integrated responses when addressing challenges of this scale, as well as the associated difficulties in setting standards and approaches across disciplines.  The full panel discussion is available online alongside the conference report.  Access them here.
